10 Rarest Weapons In Elden Ring, Ranked

Published:

These are the best rare weapons in Elden Ring, from the Monk’s Flameblade to the Guardian’s Swordspear.

Elden Ring is full of secrets, puzzles, and more than 300 different weapons that can be used to kill scary bosses. Most of these can be found as players explore the Lands in Between and kill bosses, but FromSoftware is known for making it hard to get certain weapons. They do this by hiding the weapons behind fake walls and making it so that only 0.5% of weapons drop per kill.

Since the DLC, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erd Tree, was announced, the game is getting more attention again.Because of this, both new players and old ones are looking for reasons to jump back in. Changing the main guns in builds is a great way to keep the game interesting, especially since there are so many places to discover and bosses to kill, maybe again.

Rotten Crystal Spear And Rotten Crystal Staff (8%)

Rotten Crystal Spear And Rotten Crystal Staff (8%)
  • Weapon Classes : Spear, Glintstone Staff
  • Required Stats : (STR – 10, DEX – 16, INT – 16), (STR – 8, INT – 48)
  • Weight : 5.5, 4.5

The Rotten Crystal Spear and Staff are great choices for Dexterity-focused mages because they are two of the few weapons that do both magic damage and give the Scarlet Rot status effect. Even though there are much better spears than the Rotten Crystal Spear, the Rotten Crystal Staff is one of the best Glintstone staves in the game and gives an extra 10% to Crystalian spells.

Unfortunately, players can’t use the Scarlet Rot status effect with the Rotten Crystal Staff unless they use it to deal physical damage. The Lesser Crystalian mobs in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree can drop either of these weapons.

Haligtree Crest Greatshield (4%)

Haligtree Crest Greatshield (4%)
  • Weapon Classes : Greatshield
  • Required Stats: STR – 36
  • Weight : 18.5

Even though the Haligtree Crest Greatshield only has a 4% drop rate at 100 Discovery, which is not that rare compared to other items on the list, it is one of the hardest fields to get to. To get this item, players must defeat a single enemy near the Haligtree Roots Site of Grace.

The high Holy Damage negation of Haligtree Crest Greatshield makes the final boss, Radagon, an easy fight for players who improve and infuse it.

Monk’s Flameblade (4%)

Monk's Flameblade (4%)
  • Weapon Classes : Curved Greatsword
  • Required Stats: STR – 18, DEX – 18
  • Weight : 9

After patch 1.09 came out, players rushed to try out their favorite Curved Greatswords because FromSoftware chose to improve their range, speed, and other things. So, Monk’s Flameblade is the best choice for people who want to make their Curved Greatswords look more artistic.

It is dropped by a single Fire Monk in the Giant-Conquering Hero’s Grave Site of Grace, and it can be mixed with Ash of War to make it more customizable for different play styles.

Envoy’s Greathorn (2%)

Envoy’s Greathorn (2%)
  • Weapon Classes : Colossal Weapon
  • Required Stats: STR – 28, DEX -12, FAI – 24
  • Weight : 19.5

This huge weapon is dropped by the Oracle Envoy Giants. Its low attack stat is made up for by its unique Ash of War, the Great Oracular Bubble. Envoy’s Longhorn is a great alternative that is also easy to get. It is lighter and has a higher DPS rate.

The weapon skill completely destroys monsters with large hitboxes that are hard to hit. When you wear the Envoy Crown to cosplay as an Envoy, the base damage is also increased.

Ripple Crescent Halberd (2%)

Ripple Crescent Halberd (2%)
  • Weapon Classes : Halberd
  • Required Stats: STR – 12, DEX – 12, ARC – 20
  • Weight : 8.5

If a person puts points into Arcane, they can use this weapon to deal any status effect to an enemy with just one hit. The Ripple Crescent Halberd can be made stronger by using consumables. It is one of the few items with a “S” rating for scaling in arcane and no status effects by default.

People say that this tool is well-known for using Saporific Grease to put enemies to sleep over and over again. But you can also use it with Blood or Poison grease.

Guardian’s Swordspear (2%)

Guardian's Swordspear (2%)
  • Weapon Classes : Halberd
  • Required Stats: STR – 17, DEX – 16
  • Weight : 9

If you have enough Dexterity points, this very rare Halberd is thought to be the best Halberd in Elden Ring, so it’s worth your time to farm it. Not only is it much faster than other weapons in its class. But when paired with the Keen affinity, it also has a higher attack rate than other weapons in its class. This great Halberd is dropped by the six Erdtree Guardians near the Minor Erdtree Church in Altus Plateau.

Hybrid builds like Dexterity and Faith can also use spells like Bloodflame Blade or even Vyke’s Dragonbolt, making it easier to put status effects on enemies with weak resistances.

Magma Blade (1%)

Magma Blade (1%)
  • Weapon Classes : Curved Sword
  • Required Stats: STR – 9, DEX – 15, FAI – 16
  • Weight : 4

The Magma Blade got a lot of attention in the Elden Ring community. Because of how much it looked like Kratos’ Blades of Chaos from the video game God of War. Players can’t get two of these guns for their Kratos cosplay, though, because they don’t drop very often.

Its unique Ash of War skill spreads a lot of magma all around players while making up to three cuts. Patch 1.09 also gave this weapon a number of buffs. Such as a faster moving attack speed and less time to recover.

Cleanrot Spear (1%) & Halo Scythe (2%)

Cleanrot Spear (1%) & Halo Scythe (2%)
  • Weapon Classes : Spear, Reaper
  • Required Stats: (STR – 16, DEX – 16, FAI – 14), (STR -13, DEX – 16, FAI – 15)
  • Weight : 5.5, 8.5

The Cleanrot Spear and Halo Scythe are still two of the most famous weapons in Elden Ring that scale with Faith. But getting these can be hard because they drop from Lesser Cleanrot Knights. Which roam the Swamp of Aeonia and can be hard to find. The Ash of War, Miquella’s Ring of Light, makes the Halo Scythe more famous in the community. It is better than the Sacred Ring of Light because it has a much larger effective range.

Even so, this doesn’t hurt the Cleanrot Spear. It also has a special ability called “Ash of War,” which calls up spears from the ground and does a lot of holy damage to enemies caught in the area of effect.

Celebrant’s Cleaver, Celebrant’s Sickle, And Celebrant’s Rib-rake (0.5%)

Celebrant’s Cleaver, Celebrant’s Sickle, And Celebrant’s Rib-rake (0.5%)
  • Weapon Classes : Axe, Dagger, Spear.
  • Required Stats: (STR – 12, DEX – 8), (STR – 6, DEX – 11), (STR – 8, DEX – 14)
  • Weight : 4.5, 1.5, 5

This scary set of three tools is made from human bones and can only be found in Dominula, the Windmill Village, which is north of Altus Plateau. One can get these from the groups of dancing Celebrants, who look friendly but are actually dangerous.

These weapons don’t drop very often, so it would be better to increase your chance of finding them by eating a Silver Pickled Fowl Foot. The three of them have their own special skills that give 10 runes for each good hit and can be boosted by magic or consumables.

Noble’s Estoc & Noble’s Slender Sword (0.5%)

Noble’s Estoc & Noble’s Slender Sword (0.5%)
  • Weapon Classes : Thrusting Sword, Straight Sword
  • Required Stats: (STR – 9, DEX – 10), (STR – 8, DEX – 11)
  • Weight : 3.5, 3.5

FromSoftware is known for making strange games, and the fact that Noble’s Estoc and Noble’s Slender Sword exist is proof. These weapons are hidden in plain sight, and you can get them from the Wandering Nobles, who are probably the easiest mobs to kill in Snake Game. But because there is such a small chance of getting these weapons. The normal Elden Ring player who is looking for powerful loot is not very interested in them.

On the other hand, people who like to collect weapons need to get their hands on these two to finish the task. They should go to Mistwood Outskirts and head straight north to find three Wandering Nobles. These three nobles don’t drop these weapons very often.

Elden Ring is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox X/S.
